Sue heeft op haar blog Life Looms Large weer een oproep gedaan om onze kleuren te publiceren, dus daar gaan we dan.
The end of July is near already, so we walked around the garden with our camera. What to choose? There is so much this month. Fortunately we took pictures in the course of the month, for several plants have nearly finished flowering by now.
Sue of Life Looms Large has invited us to publish our July colours, so here we go.
gele waterlelie/yellow waterlily

Nog een plant, waarvan ik twee foto's maakte: de clematis, nog een van mijn favorieten. Deze is nu uitgebloeid, helaas, maar hij was prachtig!
Another plant of which I took two pictures: the clematis, another favorite of mine. This red one hasn't any flowers left now, but it was great!

Ook een beetje lila: de acanthus.

Deze hortensia is nu veel roder, maar hier was hij nog in knop
Now this hydrangea is in full red flower, but it was just getting colour here
Naast de waslijn groeide deze kaardebol. Hoger dan ik ben. Maar zo mooi. Is dit onkruid?
Next to my washing line this teasel (?) is growing. Taller than I am. Is this a weed? It's so pretty.
De rozen blijven maar bloeien. Hier een combinatie met lavendel.
The roses go on and on. Here a combination with lavender.
Er is ook nog iets te eten: kruisbessen
There is also something edible: gooseberries
en zwarte bes
and black currants.
Helaas: de vogels waren er eerder. We hadden nog geluk dat we op tijd waren voor de rode bessen en de frambozen...
Unfortunately the birds were there first. We were lucky because we were in time for the red currants and the raspberries...

Beautiful flowers - esp. love the water lilies and acanthus. There are two types of teasel,the one with little barbs was used for brushing wool cloth to bring up the nap. (blogger isn't letting me change to my wordpress identity...)

I've never seen a yellow waterlily before. It's beautiful. The black currents look yummy. I planted a bush this year but I think it will be a couple of years before we get any. The birds ate my gooseberries this year. Our teasles are looking about the same as yours too!
Beautiful! I LOVE the water lilies. It's fun to think that you and I had almost the exact same clematis in our yards, in two different parts of the world!
So many different and gorgeous flowers. I've never seen anything the first three. I know achilla since we have that here and I do believe that's the only plant we have in common! You say it's getting gray now, but your garden is rich with color.
So many beautiful flowers in your garden! I like that your hydrangeas are red....ours are very blue due to the acidic soil here.
Those waterlilies steal the show as far as I'm concerned. I love how delicate and beautiful they are!
