Last weekend summertime started here. I love the long evenings that go with that. Let's hope now that summer really comes now. The beginning of summertime also means the end of our laceschoolseason. Our teacher had organised a trip for us to Volendam, to the museum there. The different versions of the local costume were on show there and of course we were very interested in the lace caps. After visiting the museum we had coffee together.
I haven't blogged for a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't done anything. I finished SSS, or Spring Shawl Surprise. Here it is in the soapy water, together with two skeins of handspun wool (Romney and Clun Forest) En hier is de sjaal dan.
And here is the shawl. Hung on the kitchen door for the photo.
When two things are finished one has to start something new. Here is the first clue of Mystic light, made in silvergrey handspun merino.
And here is the first clue of the Secret of Bad Nauheim, in pitch black, super thin material. I don't know what it is (Lyocell?) I bought a big cone of it from Bart and Francis in Belgium

Beautiful knitting as usual!
I love your SSS. Your stitch definition is terrific. I'm also knitting the Mystic Light and Ban Nauheim. I think yours look terrific.
