Works in progress, oftewel lopende zaken.
Finally pictures of things that keep me busy at the moment. I have to blog about them now, for I often forget to take pictures nowadays and if I don't forget for a change, I have no time to blog, the computer doesn't work like it should etc. I knit/crocheted a scarf/hat for eldest GD Wendy and gave it to het last Sunday. No picture had been made beforehand. I hope she'll make and send me one herself, so I can show you here.
This picture is of the sleeve of my alpaca jacket-to-be. I was spinning this black alpaca last summer and it seemed neverending! To be honest: not all of it has been spun yet. Here you can see how lustrous the yarn is and it is so soft!
The alpaca is very dark (nearly black!) and with the little light we've got these sombre, rainy days, knitting is hard. I can't see very well what I'm doing. This pictures shows progress of a few days ago, when I was knitting the first sleeve. On the first photo is todays work: the second sleeve. Nearly done!
It has to be done quickly, because I joined Andrea's (BadCatDesign) KAL, The Metamorphosis Shawl, Cardigan and Sweater. I knit different samples, bur chose this wool to try out the cardi. Here the (unblocked yet) sample. Actually I wanted to use beads, but I couldn't find what I wanted nearby and don't know where to look on the internet. Anybody any suggestions?
Of course I'm making more things: This is the wool for a pair of mittens. I'm a fan of Drops wool, the yarn as much as the patterns.
And here is the result. Fun to knit!
Morgen weer naar de kantklosschool. Ik ben begonnen met mijn lessen Vlaanderse kant. Ook dat is leuk om te doen. Ik zal nu toch eindelijk daarvan ook wat foto's maken. Misschien morgen?
Lace school tomorrow. I started my lessons in Flanders lace. Fun also. Now I really should take a few pictures of all the lace I made recently. Perhaps tomorrow?
