Last week one of the main streets in Hoorn changed into a colourful promenade, full of beautiful knitting and crochet. As I wrote earlier in this blog I also did some work for this project and here is my 'leaves and flowers pole' with my bird, who looks from the end (beginning?) of the street if all is going well. The leaves were blowing in the wind, as intended.
Bird didn't pay enough attention: a bicycle was parked against its pole. How respectless, but it certainly looked very Dutch as well!
Everywhere people were pointing each other at beautiful, funny, nice things
Like this gate, closer up now
Lamp post with maximum speed
My second project has been twisted around this lamp post, and I was sorry to see it had been done in a way that didn't make me happy. But I can't complain, because I wasn't present when everything was attached to the different objects. But it seemed a shame: because I had made it the right size for such a pole, and now it looked a sorry rope. That was a reason for some criticism from me, because this spiralling around posts and poles isn't the way to use the work.
The local supermarket.
The very ugly concrete fountain cheered up no end with its knitted coat!
The wall at its feet was covered, too
Little mice visited the church
samen met een paar kikkers
together with two frogs
The only place to sit on the entire way. There should be more of those for people like me...
The weekly Saturday market was in one of the streets, but there the lantern posts had also got nice tasseled covers!
Alles bij elkaar was het een geweldige happening en ik heb begrepen, dat het evenement een vervolg krijgt. Leuk!
Altogether is was a great happening and I understood that it will be repeated. Great!
