Niet geweven, wel gebreid en gesponnen

Gistermorgen waren we bij de open dagen van M+M. Daar kocht ik het garen voor de babydeken, die ik voor Annette's nieuwe petekind ga weven. De baby en haar ouders hebben we vrijdagavond gezien, en gelukkig hadden ze de wagen mee, waar het dekentje in moet. Ik heb de kleuren daar dus op kunnen aanpassen. Van haspelen is vandaag niets gekomen, dat wordt dus morgen. Hoop ik. De schering die ik maakte voor de advancing twill hangt ook nog vrolijk over de Megado. (Deken is voor de Toika)
Bij M+M kocht ik ook merino om te spinnen: een mooie dunne lont van paars, rood en blauw en een effen donkerblauw. Ook dat zit nog ongebruikt in de tas, want eerst moet de geverfde ClunForest gesponnen worden voor trui Josephine van Jean Moss. De lichtblauwe zijde waarmee ik twijnde is op, ik heb nog wel grijze in dezelfde kwaliteit en wil kijken of dat erg veel verschil maakt. De wol zelf is zo gemengd, dat het best mee zou kunnen vallen.
De trui zelf schiet lekker op, ik ben al bijna bij de armsgaten. Ik maak de trui wel iets langer. Foto's komen later.

Yesterday we were at the open days of one of my favorite yarn shops. There I bought the yarn for the blanket I'm going to weave for Annette's new godchild. Last Friday we saw baby and her parents and fortunately they had the pram there as well, so I could see what colour would be nice. Today I wanted to wind the warp for the blanket, but that didn't happen. Will try tomorrow. I hope. The warp I wound for the advancing twill workshop of the Online Guild is still hanging on the Megado upstairs (the blanket will be woven on my Toika loom downstairs)
I also bought merino roving to spin: a variegated roving, blue-red-purple and a dark blue roving. That also hasn't been used yet, because I have to spin the dyed Clun Forest for my Josephine (Jean Moss) sweater first. I ran out of the blue silk I used to ply the CF with, and now I try to make up my mind if I'll use the light grey silk(same quality) for the rest. The wool has so many different shades, that it might be possible.
The sweater has grown a lot today, although I make the sweater a little longer than in the pattern I've nearly reached the armholes. Photos will follow later.
