Het verven is zo supersimpel: de bolsters stonden een paar dagen in een emmer water, toen deed ik de in water geweekte wol erbij en liet dat ook weer een paar dagen staan. Uitspoelen. Drogen. Klaar!
But the nut husks (if that´s the right word - I used the green shells) are great as well. I used them to dye some Clun Forest wool and a little kid mohair. The latter is in front in the picture. In the box is wool, which I combed with a small dog comb.
Dyeing is supersimple: the husks soaked in a bucket filled with water for a few days, then I added the wet wool and left it there for another few days. Rinse. Dry. Finished!
